This snack is extra quick of make and perfect for any occasion, it will be a blast with your guests at a party and will surely be popular with the kids took
So here is the recipe:
Ingredients
1 cup of grated coconut
1/2 cup of sugar
Instructions
- Pour sugar in a small saucepan and heat on low heat for 7-9 minutes
- Whilst heating the sugar, keep stirring to avoid any lumps
- Once caramelised, the sugar should now be a golden brown colour.
- Pour the grated coconut and stir till it becomes sticky (should take up to 2 minutes)
- Set aside and let cool before you roll the candy into balls
- And Voila!!!! Your coconut candy is ready.
If you'd like the coconut candy lighter and less sugary; simple add 2 tablespoon of water to the sugar before caramelising.
